I cried like a baby when reading Sherrilyn’s Author Notes. To know that there is someone else that has suffered being harmed at the hands of a loved one and turned it into something so positive is very inspiring to me. Since reading her book, I decided to volunteer at a local organization that assists victims of domestic violence and abuse. I have also sent my copy of Acheron to a friend who I know suffers through her own brand of torture everyday from her husband. My hope is that she will take from it that terrible things happen to people and lives are damaged, often by the hands of the ones that claim to love us, and it takes incredible power (that you probably never knew you had) to do something about it and believe in something again, but believe in something is amazing. Everyone deserves happiness.
