60 Years of Romance from Harlequin

Harlequin is 60! WoW! They have been providing us with hours upon hours of reading goodness for that long? They hardly look a day over 50! HEHE!! To celebrate, they are offering up free books at their website -

I am going to share with you all some of the email I got from my friend Jayne at Harlequin:

We’re launching our HarlequinCelebrates site on Thursday, but we have a special Anniversary hub on eHarlequin.com with updates on our many celebratory activities and events throughout the year and I’m happy to give you a sneak peek. Any woman can access these wonderful stories from anywhere in the world provided they have a computer connection and an appetite for engaging, compelling stories. From Moncton to Memphis and beyond we’re celebrating the love of the romance novel.

And we hope you will help romance novels become the viral story of 2009!

This is the link for our special 60th Hub on eHarlequin.com: http://www.eharlequin.com/store.html?cid=1316&cmpid=BLSOC200901290002

Thank you, I have spent hours curled up with a Harlequin book. Do any of your downloads include ebook readers with rocket format? I currently order Super Romance, but love to get them in rocket format? Thank you for the link. I'm going right over.

The Stanza Harlequin catalog appears to be live. It is the second one down in the Online Catalog.

Some of my greatest memories are sitting at my Granny's side while she read her Harlequins. I did this, because as soon as she sat one down, I took it and hid in the other room and read it as fast as I could. I was 11 when I started this! So, you could say that I cut my proverbial reader's teeth on Harlequins.

My favorite were the ones about Australia and Greece! How I used to long to go to the Outback and meet a nice Aussie cowboy!

I did make it to Crete, close enough to Greece, and I have to say, it was all I ever dreamed about. Well, except some eccentric millionaire never came and asked me to be his nanny and then proceed to marry me and all that!

What is your favorite Harlequin memory?
